Install

Node.js 20 or later. Install the versioned CLI package directly from Ruty.

Make your first call

Create an API key in the console and set it in your shell.

Environment

Variable	Purpose
`RUTY_API_KEY`	Required API key.
`RUTY_MCP_URL`	Optional endpoint. Defaults to https://ruty.ai/api/mcp.
`RUTY_TEAM_WORKSPACE_ID`	Optional team workspace UUID.
`RUTY_TEAM_PROJECT_ID`	Optional project UUID; requires a workspace.

Successful commands write JSON to stdout. Errors go to stderr with a nonzero exit code. The CLI does not automatically retry generation calls.
